GC-L288GSXP (ASTCNA2) LG Refrigerator - Instructions

Removed ice bin
Unscrew the 3 screws.
Lift ice maker for the bottom to remove it but do not pull it until the power is unplug from the part.
Install the new part the same way you removed the old part.
Turn the switch and waiting 48 hours before the ice bin start getting ice

Scary not hard. But pry panel out start at bottom or right side and pull. and was told from tube video that lg said if you break a few tabs that was normal and not to worry there is plenty. I think I broke one but after repair just pushed it back into place and it is good as new. The broken part was obvious and easy to replace. Just go for it

Just laid the shelf down. Fit like a glove!

Took pics of original install, removed old valve, water tubes & plugs. Installed new valve, reconnected electronic plugs, water tubes, turned water back on and all has been well since. Thank you for your timely delivery!

Opened box, unpacked shelf, placed in refrigerator. It took longer to open box than it did to install. Very easy!

I just followed the instruction on the part , and everything was very easy.

Part arrived within expected time, removed from shipping box and installed.

Pulled the fridge out.
Unscrewed the back cover and the one screw holding the value assemble.
undid the 2 hoses and replaced the part.

The assembly sent is different than what is on the unit. The connectors do not match. We called and it seems you don’t have the correct part. The only part we have found will only connect the ice maker or the water. It will be a shame if I have to buy a new refrigerator.

Removed old part very easily and installed the new part without any problems. Used and adjustable wrench and screwdriver

Repair was pretty easy but be ready to possibly switch out the wiring harness. The new ice maker had a smaller connector that would not fit the connector built into the door of the fridge. I had to pull the harness from my old ice maker and swap it onto the new maker. After that was done, everything mated up perfectly and worked fine.

removed old lever ( 2 screws ) took apart electrical connection, replaced lever, connected electrical hookup, put in screws. DONE !!!!!!

The repair went well. They actually had to replace the motor. This saved me a lot of money having it repaired in this manner. Very professional & pleasant.

unfortunately my fridge stopped working. I purchased another but wanted to try and repair the old one. when ew one arrived, the old one was supposed to be put in garage but instead was hauled away. Had delivery return next day but they had as already removed and lost the handle screw for the bottom freezer and the screw that holds handle in place. ordered the handle screw and picked up the nut. very simple to install the screw and put handle back on.
