2671532210 Washer Dryer Combo - Instructions

First I removed the 2 screws that hold the lid down. Then I pulled the lid off. Then I removed the 2 screws that hold the front of the dryer in place. Then I lifted the drum a little and pulled the front cabinet out a little so I could see the drum slides. I removed the bad drum slides and installed the new ones. I then put everything back together and turned on the dryer. The squeeky noise was gone.

Our dryer was making an ear piercing high pitched squeal. I didn't know what it was, but through a quick search on this site determined that the Drum Bearin and Drum slides must be out. I ordered the items and they quickly arrived. I followed the skeematic of the dryer that they had on the site and it ended up being one of the easiest "do-it yourself" fix jobs I have been involved with in a long time. I will definitely come back to this site when I have future appliance issues.
By the way, I am an accountant by trade and have no previous appliance fixing skills.

This is the 2nd time in 3 years I had to do this repair. There needs to be a better design. I suggest that when you hear squeeking that you replace the teflon pcs fast so you don't have to replace the drum bearing.
Now for the repair. Take dryer door off (4 screws) it makes the repair easier. There is 2 long screws that hold the top to the front of the dryer. Once removed you can pull out the top of the front of dryer and it unhooks from the bottom. I suggest using the vacuum and clean thoroughly while you have it apart. Unplug the wire for the light (3 wires) so you can completely remove the front of the dryer. The drum bearing snaps out (after you remove the light bulb). Insert 4 new teflon pcs into new drum bearing before re-attaching to dryer. Plug the wires back in and put the light bulb back in. Hook the bottom to the dryer and make sure bearing goes areound drum when putting back on. Put 2 long screws back in to attach the top to the front. Re-attach door and your job is done. You should not have to disconnect dryer from gas but you should unplug dryer. This is a very easy repair. I don't know why they call this part a drum bearing when there is no bearings involved at all.

We removed the top of the the dryer and then removed the front part. Then put the traps in place, put the other parts of the dryer back on, and turned the dryer back on. Just as simple as that. No extra fees.

Initially purchased just the plastic slides, but when I opened the dryer I found the top drum bearing was smashed and the plastic was basically gone in a whole section, so I then ended up ordering the bearing as well. If you hear the loud squeaking, just buy the top drum bearing and the 4 slides (two white and two dark green). It is an easy repair and the squeaking sound is gone.

I ordered and replaced the front and rear bearings, including the slides that go on the front bearing. Most of this was un-necessary; replacing the slides would have been sufficient, and much easier to do. Two of the old slides were worn completely away.

I noticed that some clothes were coming out of the dryer looking like they had been chewed on. The next day something actually caught on something inside the dryer near the door. There was a broken piece of plastic. I wrote the dryer model number down and came to this website. I easily determined it was the drum bearing from the pictures provided by this website. The part came 5 days later. I think it would have been sooner, but I ordered on a Friday before a 3 day weekend (Memorial Weekend). I did not order the slides recommended to be ordered with it because my dryer was not making noise. When I replaced the drum bearing, one slide was worn completely through and the others were fine. The one worn through was right near where the plastic on the drum bearing was broken. I ordered a green slide to replace the one that was worn through.

Replacing drum bearing required the removal of 4 screws total. 2 inside dryer doorway, these two were facing towards the ceiling. After removing those two the dryer top popped off easily and did not require the removal of the control panel at the back of the dryer. The other two screws were inside and were small screws which held the front dryer panel onto the sides. After these were removed I pulled the front panel away enough to get to the drum bearing. Easy Peasy!

removed two phillips screws from front panel, removed front panel and raised top cover, had my wife hold up top cover while i removed belt and installed new one, reassembled in reverse order, turned on dryer and checked for proper operation, and yes i did unplug the unit. worked great!!

Yawn..anyone who has a Phillips screw driver and remembers, "righty - tighty" and "lefty - loosey" will have no problem...You Tube is there for those who need a visual; it will probably take longer to watch the video than do the repair.

Repair was VERY easy - 4 screws total! Used google to find a video online that showed the steps.

I have encountered this problem in the past. Over time, the front plastic drum bearing and the 4 front glide tabs wear down, requiring replacement. To start this repair, unplug the dryer and open the door. Remove the 2 philips screws under (top) of the open door frame that secure the top panel. Remove top panel by lifting up and pulling towards you. Remove the two philips screws (left and right) at the top inside front panel. Support the front panel and "swing" it gently to the left like opening a door, using caution not to damage the wires to the light at the bottom of the panel. Take this opportunity to vacuum out all the accumulated lint around the frames, drum, and vents to prevent any dryer fires. Remove the light bulb. Remove the damaged bearing by separating at the snap points. Save any old glides that are still serviceable. Install glides on the new bearing and punch out the plastic disc to uncover the light bulb hole. Install the new bearing, snapping securely into place, and making sure all wires and felts are secure and away from the drum movement area. Replace the bulb. Replace the front panel in a reverse motion, seating the bottom edges first (a second pair of hands is helpful here), then seating the drum onto the bearing and glides. Replace front panel screws. Replace top panel, fitting the tabs near the control panel first, then swinging down and in, using caution not to damage the control panel. Replace door frame screws to secure top panel. Plug in and test run, being sure to allow adequate time for the burner to light.

r/r parts unit runs great

I followed the directions from the previous post. It was much easier than described. I got the part, removed 4 screws, removed the top, pulled the front and replaced the part. It was all together again in 15 minutes. Dryer sounds great again! I'm so glad I didn't call a repair man!

i first popped off the top of te dryer after removing the two screws in frotn when you open the door. I then removed the two screws holding the front together. after tilting the front out i was able to place the slides in without having to pull of the front entirely.
