The water level pressure switch in your washing machine is a very important part, as it senses and regulates the water level within the washer. Lid Switch Assembly The point of the lid switch is for the tub to stop spinning when the washer lid is opened. It is a safety precaution just in case someone decides to stick their hand inside the washer while the tub is spinning.

Water Level Pressure Switch This switch keeps your washer from overflowing. It is responsible for shutting off the power to the fill valve and redirects the power to the timer to start the washing machine running once the correct water level has been reached.

Pressure Switch This part is able to sense the water level in the tub. When the water reaches the desired level, this switch stops the water from flowing in the tub and then the washing program begins.

Fabric Softener Switch - 2 Position

Water Level Pressure Switch This part is located behind the control panel. It helps determine the level of water in the washer. As the water fills the hose, while tub is filling, it will push the air against a diaphragm inside the switch. More water that enters the tub, more pressure is applied against the switch.

Lid Switch Actuator This is part of the lid switch actuator mechanism and activates the lid switch, when the lid is closed, to start the wash cycle and when the lid is open, it stops the cycle.
