Exactly what I needed for my Whirlpool dishwasher
The 6 foot drain hose that came with my new Whirlpool dishwasher was not long enough. This part is exactly what I needed and identical to the original only longer. It was shipped promptly and arrived on time.

The drain outlet on bottom of washer is threaded with a garden hose size. The unit did not come with this hose. I am going to use a regular slipon type with some thread sealer and teflon tape. The old dishwasher is a Whirlpool also but it used a slipon connection. Your parts list for the drain hose does not indicate that it is a screw-on hose. So what do I do now? The washer is easy to pull out so if you have the right hose for this model I can always replace the one I am using.
For model number WDTA50SAHB0
Hello Richard,
Thanks for your question. The clamp part number PS11740613 will secure the hose in place for your model, rather than there being a screw-on connection for the hose.
I hope this helps.
Dishwasher smells badly/ i cleaned filters, arms used baking soda, lemon juice, etc. What's next?
Hi Barry,
Thank you for your question. If your dishwasher still smells bad inside after a good cleaning, check the hoses to see if they are kinked or clogged. If they are clean them out and position them correctly as outlined in your owner's manual. If you have't tried it, use vinegar. Place 1 cup of vinegar into a bowl and set in on the upper rack of your dishwasher. Close the door and run the dishwasher with the hottest setting. Run the hot water in the kitchen sink for a few minutes before turning the dishwasher on so that the water is good and hot. The dishwasher should be empty except for the bowl when you do this. Once the cycle is complete, remove the bowl and leave the door open, so the dishwasher can dry out. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!
