Hello Ian, thank you for your question. The issue is probably the igniter itself, or the gas valve. If the igniter glows but doesn't draw enough power the gas valve will not open. We would recommend testing/replacing the igniter first. I hope this helps.

The temperature sensor allows the oven to maintain the set temperature by sensing the temperature and sending the information to the oven's motherboard. Hello and thank you for writing. Loud pops or bangs that occur during preheating are caused by thermodynamics. The metal panels that make up your oven cavity naturally expand and contract as they heat up and cool down, which creates popping noises. This can also happen if you leave a metal pan in the oven or broiler as it preheats, causing the pan to warp and emit a startling, but not dangerous, loud bang. Dirty or clogged igniters in a gas oven can cause loud bangs due to delayed ignition. What happens is, the gas builds up in the oven, then ignites all at once. Hello Bill, Thank you for the question. To convert the Valve you will just need to adjust the settings. No parts required. The cap on the valve will need to be removed and the Pin flipped. You may also need to adjust the Oven Vent shutters. We hope this helps! .

Hello Dylan, thank you for reaching out. The oven igniter should have a resistance reading of somewhere between 80 and 175 ohms for a working igniter. The gas valve should have 1 to 1.5 ohms of resistance. We hope this helps.
