Cover part works well
The cover for the stirrer fan was an excellent repair. The old cover had a melted area leaving a hole the size of a quarter. It seem that this happens for unknown reasons. We felt the old cover after using the microwave and it was about room temperature. As far as we know we never ran the microwave without food in it so we have no idea why part of the cover melted.
We bought the rivet to hold it in place. We were able to use the old rivet and it would probably have worked without any rivet. The rivet only holds it from rotating, and friction would do the job. On the other hand, the rivet was the smaller cost and we aren't sorry we bought it.
The cover is the same as the original and we hope the microwave lasts another 10 years.

The fan cover in top of the cooking area was burned.
The original cover was burned and actually caught on fire. Research informed me that food can splatter and stick to the cover. The particle will get hot enough to ignite the plastic cover. I ordered the cover and included the fan since it was so cheap, Replacement was super easy. Done in 10 minutes and made my wife happy. She was ready to buy a new microwave because she thought something was wrong with ours but food splatter was the cause. Parts were less than $10 + $6 shipping. Keep the inside of the microwave clean!!
did not include screw to secure it to celing of the microwave rempved
removed old cover put the new one in place found right size screw from my tool box, tightened it.

Our cover has a small plastic pin besides the feet that slide into the top. Does this part come with the cover. If not, could you please tell me what part to order. Thank you
