No ice , bin gets filled with water but when it turns to empty ice cubes it keeps spinning until it’s stuck and i have to remove it and put it back in place.
For model number 79551313011
Hi Demo, thank you for your question. There are two parts that you should check for this issue. The first part to test would be your water inlet valve. The valve has two solenoids that control either the dispenser or the ice maker. Even if your dispenser is working the ice maker solenoid may not be and vise versa. The valve can be tested with a multi meter and should be reading between 500 - 1500 ohms of resistance. If that part is testing correctly then you should look into your ice maker being the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Everything seems to work until the icemaker dumps. Then it hangs up and will not return to fill again until i use the "switch" under the mechanism to return tray to normal fillup.
For model number 795.5131
Hello Ed,
Thank you for your question. It is likely an issue with either the dispenser door solenoid, or the icemaker assembly itself that is needing to be tested and possible replaced. We hope this helps.

Makes chrushed ice ok. But will not make cubes used to Make ok.
For model number 79551319012
Hello Ronald, Thank you for the question. You can try to remove the ice bin and reinstalling it by pushing it all the way back against the freezer wall. Allow time for Icemaker to cycle again to make cubes. Select Crushed Ice and then Cubed Ice and try to dispense the cubes. If this dose not help, leave the bin out of the appliance and allow any ice build up melt just in case it is interfering with the crushers. If it still will not make cubes, you may need to replace the Solenoid Assembly, Part Number: PS3598223. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

Ice maker is not working at all. Ice dispenser works and water dispenser on front works. Would replacing the whole ice maker assembly solve the problem?

Does the ice maker unit contain the thermostat to determine if the ice is frozen and ready to cycle?
Does the ice maker control how much water is delivered to the ice tray by the water valve?
Thank you, Dewayne
For model number LSC23924ST
Hi Dewayne,
Thank you for your question. According to your owners manual, the icemaker will begin to operate when it lowers the temperature until the freezing point. It will also control the amount of water that goes into it. If you have any questions, please let us know. We look forward to hearing from you!
