Is this part the same as the washer cycle selector?

Hello Ginger, thank you for inquiring. This Rotary Switch is for the temperature. The Timer part PS1482380 controls most of the operations of the washer, like water level, tub filling and emptying, length of cycles, and cycle setting sequences. We hope this helps.

Does this piece ps3496868 go or is it part of the water level switch (ap2045895)if so how do i install it? Can you send a video link or instructions?

The knob on the selector where you push in and set the timer! It will push in and pull out fine but it will not turn the settings!We can hold the round control next to the panel and turn the timer and set it but we can’t with the knob
