My microwave does not heat. I have replaced the fuses and the diode. Everything else works. When the microwave is turned on, it runs, but makes a louder buzzing noise. I do not believe it is a door switch or turning motor. When i discharged the capacitor there was no spark. Do the capacitors go bad? Can the capacitor be checked?
For model number JVM1870SF03
Hi Eric,
Thank you for your question. If the microwave is not heating, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which ones are causing the issue. You will need to check the line fuse, the secondary door switch, the monitor door switch, the magnetron, the high voltage diode, the hood thermostat and the thermostat. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The microwave has a louder buzzing noise when on. It was working fine, then while running made small noise before the normal operating buzz became louder. It does not heat. Everything else is functional.
Is this the magnetron or diode? Or something else. Turntable and door sensor work fine
For model number JVM6175SK2SS
Hello Ian, thank you for getting in touch. Based on the description that you have provided, the issue is most probably with the high voltage diode, part number PS239843. It is an electrical current control device inside the microwave. It provides high voltage that powers the magnetron. You may need to replace it to fix the problem. We hope this information helps!
M-wave oven works as it should, BUT it produces a loud buzzing noise intermittently, never for more than 1-2 seconds, and so far, NOT when heating. It might go hours without buzzing, then start out of the blue. It continues for a short time after unplugging. Right now, I am plugging unit into power only before use. It sounds like it comes from high, toward back of unit, but not sure.

Hello Tom, thank you for getting in touch. We believe your microwave is having this problem because of the faulty high voltage diode, part number PS239843. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
I place an ohm meter on the high capacity diode, should the needle move on the meter when testing?
For model number JVM3670W03
Hello Steven, thank you for your question. When testing the continuity of the Capacitor, the results for a good Capacitor would be no continuity. I hope this helps, and good luck with your repair!

The house fuse blew for the for the microwave. I switched it back. Now the microwave has no power, no lights, nothing???
For model number JVM7195RF1SS
Hi Brent, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the High Voltage Diode, PartSelect Number PS239843 and the Capacitor, PartSelect Number PS239120 with a multi meter checking for resistance, they may have blown with the fuse. Hope this helps!
