The plastic cap on the control covering the digital display has cracked and fallen off. Will this part take care of this issue?

EFLS527UIW0 Frigidaire Washer. Should the power button cycle on/off? I have problems getting the power button to cycle on the machine. I currently have it on. But pressing the power button does not turn the machine off. I don't know if this is by design and the power button restes to off once the wash cycle is done or if there is an issue with the power button and pressing it will not turn off the machine. I'm just about ready to order and replace Part #: PS12731610 which should include the power button. Thank you
