Following a power surge, my washer has not been functioning properly. The control panel is not showing the correct cycle times or settings (water temperature, spin speed..etc) and when one is selected, the door will lock and the unit does nothing. i can pause and resume, but can not turn the unit off or change any settings at this point. i understand this is an electrical issue, but am not sure which part would have been damaged following the power surge. my guess is either the control panel, or electric control. any idea how i would go about figuring which one it can be ?
For model number ywfw9151yw00
Hello Chanelle, thank you for writing. This would be due to the Main Control Board, but unfortunately the replacement for your model is discontinued. We have no replacement information for it. You will need to reach out to Whirlpool directly at 1-800-807-6777 for a substitution part number. Please feel free to get back in touch with us if they provide you with one. Thank you!
