Water accumulateding in tub overnight.
Install new water valve. Cut water supply off and remove from back of washer. Remove 3 screws in the top panel from the back. Lift up about a inch and pull back. Comes right out. Set aside. Remove clamp from hose that secures hose to valve. Twist it to break contact and then work it off. Remove screw from the back that holds valve on. Pull up a little and remove wires/ connectors. Mark them or take a picture. Replace with new valve. Connect wires and push it into place. Easier if you put the screw back in that holds it. Put the hose and clamp back on. Put cover on and install the 3 screws. Hook up hoses, turn on water and call the wife. Lol

Seems like leaking, see drips from dispenser. How can i tell it it needs to be replaced? I see no obvious cracks
For model number Wfw945xw00

Hello Dan, thank you for your question. Sometimes the hoses at the back of the dispenser can become clogged with residue and cause the water that enters the dispenser to not drain quickly and can cause a bit of an overflow. We would recommend removing the top of the unit, remove the dispenser hoses and clean the dispenser well. You may also want to remove the hoses and clean them well. Inspect the area well at this time; you may find a crack or break toward the back of the housing. I hope this helps!

Hi Donna, thank you for contacting us. We have concluded that the issue is with the water inlet valve, part number PS11752082, as it is most likely faulty and may need to be replaced. We hope this solves your problem!

During a wash cycle, the water doesn't seem to stop flowing into my machine (even the dispenser seems full). Turning the water source off and then back on seems to fix the problem temporarily, although I have to do that a few times during the cycle. I figure it's the valve that needs replacing, but was hoping for an expert opinion before I purchase one. Thanks in advance.

Hello Daniel, thank you for getting in touch. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest checking the pressure switch, part number PS11752436, before replacing the water inlet valve. It senses and controls the water level in the washer. Glad to be of assistance!

Hello Malcolm, thank you for contacting us. The issue is most probably related to the water level switch, part number PS11751539, or the water inlet valve, part number PS11752082. The switch senses and controls the water level in the washer while the inlet valve supplies the water according to requirements. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of help!

Washing machine (front loader) is making a loud knocking/grinding noise during spin cycle. Please advise.
For model number MHWE450WR01
PartSelect logo
Hi Larry, thank you for reaching out. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest that you make sure the load is balanced. If there are light and heavy items in the same load, the tub will spin out of balance and become noisy. If that is not causing the issue, then you may need to ensure the washer is level with the feet sitting firmly on a solid floor. Level the appliance and adjust the legs if necessary. If the issue persists, then you may need to check the shock absorbers, part number PS11723173. Many front-load washer tubs use shock absorbers to dampen tub movement during operation. If one of the shock absorbers becomes dislodged or breaks, the tub may begin shaking and hitting the sides of the washer cabinet, making a loud noise when the appliance is in the wash or spin cycle. If any of the shock absorbers are faulty, you may need to replace them. We hope this helps!
