I just wanted to run this by you before i order a part. Its in regards to the water inlet valve on a KitchenAid refrig. I checked the pressure to the valve and im getting around 62 psi.Which seems good for closing the valves. but when i tested the solenoids of two of them one had 163 ohms and the other had 261 ohms. the refrig. has a ice maker and dispenser. is that defective? i get water overflowing from my ice maker into the freezer section.
For model number KSCK25FVMS01
Hi Steve, thank you for your question. That would suggest that your valve needs to be replaced. The ohm reading for a water inlet valve should be between 500 - 1500 ohms. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

My refrigerator suddenly stopped dispensing water but it is making ice cubes and when you depress the water lever you can actually hear something running but no water comes out what could it possibly be.

Hi Lou, thank you for your inquiry. Make sure that the water tube is not clogged. If this is not the issue, then you may need to replace the water inlet valve, part number PS11750433, to solve the problem. Glad to be of assistance!
