Hello there,
Our microwave stopped working. my wife went to add more time and when she did the display blinked and went dark. nothing is working. do you think replacing the control panel will fix the problem?

It certainly sounds more like it could be a faulty line fuse PS11747931 (rather than the display)and/or possibly malfunctioning door switches PS373050 you should check the part(s) for signs of damage or test with a multimeter, and replace the part(s) as needed. Thank you for the great question. With these symptoms you would need to replace the Door Interlock Switches Part number PS373050. The function of this part is to sense when the door of the microwave is open or closed. If the part is defective, the microwave will not start or will start when door is open or will start on its own.

My unit is a jenair combo microwave/oven model # jmc8130ddb (purchased in 2003). The microwave works fine. The oven display just went completely dark and doesn't work. The appliance man said i need to replace the control part (manufacturers # 53001240) but they don't make the part at jenair anymore. Does your part wpw10165850 replace this part? What is your warranty/return policy should this part not fix the problem? Thank you. Celia

The led control panel on my oven does not show anything. If I press bake and the temperature and it bakes, or goes off when I press cancel, but I can’t see anything. Would this part fix the problem?

My Built in the wall Microwave which sits above my wall Oven was cooking something for about 15 minutes. It suddenly made a loud hum noise and and then quit. No power, nothing. IT was very hot. The oven was not on at the time, so I didn't contribute how hot is was to the oven. I checked the breakers in the house, but it was not tripped. I had a service tech come out and look at it. He did not take it completely out to even look at what the problem might be. He looked up what he thought were the parts that might be needed and told me everything was no longer available for my model.
Can you please help me?? My oven works perfectly, and I just need my microwave to be fixed if at all possible. What do you think it might be? and could I get parts?

My microwave randomly turns on. Sometimes it’s after it’s finished (set for 4 minutes, it completes and then starts again for anywhere between 1 and 10 minutes) and other times it just starts out of the blue. Will this control panel fix this issue? Thanks!

You would have to take the housing off. Once this is done follow the electric cord where it enters the microwave there will be the fuse, sometimes clamped into a small board. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

Hello, I just tested the ceramic fuse fro continuity and confirmed an audible response so i believe the fuse is ruled out. how do i test a door switch?

Hi William, thank you for your question. To test the switches in your door, you would need a multi meter. Your micro switches on the door should be reading 0 ohms to be in working order. Good luck with your repair.

I tested both the line fuse and the door switches and all seem to be working properly.The fuse was tested and the millimeter gave me an audible response. i then install the fuse and tested the power source and all was working and loaded however the display remained blank... just out dark... the microwave doesn't work.
what else should i test?
