Replace broken timer knob
Open washer console by sliding your hand inside over the drum. There are two clips at each corner of the console. There are videos that show you how. The right clip is freely accessible. Reach behind a notch to get to the left clip. Squeeze clips to release.
Once console is open, use pliers to pull the knob shaft from inside the console. This will release the old knob. Attach new knob and secure the console.

How do i change the timer knob wpw10110033.Knob turns but selected ring does not.
For model number mtw5870tw0
Hi Denny, Thank you for the question. The knob and ring are sold sepratly. If the ring is the part you need to replace, you need to order PartSelect Number PS1491194. In order to remove the knob to replace the ring you will need to remove the back of the control panel to access the back of the timer switch. On the back of the switch you will see a small pin. Using a pair of pliers you need to pull the pin out and release the knob.Hope this helps!

The knob turns but the selector ring does not on the timer so what part do i need?
For model number MTW5800TW0
Hi Gary,
Thank you for your question. You will have to inspect the parts to determine which one is broken. You will have to look at your timer dial, your timer knob, and your timer itself. The part on your timer you need to look at would be the stem and make sure it is not physically broken. Good luck with your repair.
