Hi Jim, Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, all knobs have a stem so that they can slip on to the shaft of the control switch that they go on. If the white plastic has broken off of your knob then you will need to replace this knob. Good luck with your repair.

Hi Jim, Thank you for the question. The stem is not part of the knob. In order to replace the stem you will need to replace the switch inside the control panel. Hello Christine, Thanks for your question. The knob associated with the water level is part number PS11748303, which is on the far left. The timer knob is in the centre. I hope this helps.

Hello Patricia, thank you for your query. We have found some relevant instructions for you to replace the timer knob. They may not be of the exact same model, but they will help you with the process. You may follow the following steps: to replace the knob, you may have to remove the control panel. The control panel is usually held by two screws. Unscrew them. Once you have your screws out, slide the control panel forward about 1/2 an inch and lift it back over the back of the machine. Now, grab the timer tab at the back with a needle-nose pliers and then pull the knob off from the front. Install the new knob by following the same steps backwards. Good luck with your repair!
