Detached Water Distribution Manifold
The original brackets that hold the water distribution manifold to the back and top of the tub came off the "X-shaped" plastic posts on the tub walls. That caused the upper wash arm to sag down into the travel of the upper dish rack and was broken off when the rack was pushed in. I bought 2 new brackets and a new wash arm. The new brackets had a smaller aperature than the originals and fit tightly onto the plastic posts, holding the manifold firmly in its proper location. Replacement of the brackets and the new wash arm took less than ten minutes and required no tools!
Racks rusted ,mounting bracket broken, seal leaked
replaced racks easy, pulled dishwasher out to replace seal and used pro-apoxy to secure bracked to washer, as both brackets were lose and would not clip in location.
Hey I hope this helps someone. . I was quite frustrated with out little dishwasher. It almost seemed that the dishes would come out dirtier than when they went in. Turns out we have hard water and it did a number on the parts of the dishwasher. Luckily, the parts were cheap enough that I thought I would give em a try. Between that and something called "dishwasher magic" I had success! One thing I wished I did differently was that I should have purchased two (2) wash arm retainer clips. . . I re-used an old one but it would have been nice to have all new parts inside. Needless to say, our dishes now are super clean. I have 6 young kids so our dishwasher gets a real workout. I may have to purchase a water softener down the road but for now we'll roll the dice. Hope this helps!

My manifold distribution assembly brackets came off where they mount on the tub. They don,t want to push back on to the two plastic hubs that hold them to the tub. Is there some special way to get the square metal parts on to the plastic receivers?
For model number MDBH955AWW
Hello Chris,
Thank you for your question! The manifold should just snap back into the brackets,if the brackets are not holding onto the manifold firmly the tabs may be wore out and the bracket might need to be replaced.
Good luck with this repair!
