When I press the control button on the front the time lights up, but when I release it the light goes out. The machine won't start, so what card do I replace?

The Cycle switch buttons does not work only the delicate cycle switch button works. No error readout is shown. Just before this if I press a button such as the normal cycle button the next button cycle would light up. I am washing in only the delicate cycle before I can get this fixed.

The front display screen shows 8888. The washer works but i can't tell what temp of water or time is remaining. What part do i need to replace?
