Control buttons would not respond
Used exploded drawing from Partselect to get an idea how to remove the keyboard housing. This was the hardest part since it "snaps" into place in addition to a couple screws.
Once I got it apart, I figured it was either the electrical control board or the keypad itself , so I ordered both. I also ordered a new keyboard housing since the keyboard is stuck to the housing with strong adhesive, so this must be replaced with the keyboard.
When I recieived the parts, I tried just replacing the keyboard, and this worked. I adhered the keyboard to the new housing, put it all back together and the fridge works great now. I returned the electrical control board viw USPS priority, and got a refund within 1 week of sending it.
Thanks!

I cannot change temperature settings, etc on the keyboard....the fridge cools to 40 and the freezer to 0......is it common for the keyboard to stop working? none of the controls works.....how much for the entire unit? it looks like replacing just the touch controls themselves would be difficult....ungluing it from the board, etc

Hi Patrick,
Thank you for your inquiry. It sounds like you will need to replace either the touchpad or the electronic control board. To verify which part is causing the issue you will need to use a multimeter to check the continuity of each part. If the electronic control board, part number WPW10207861, needs to be replaced, it has been discontinued by the manufacturer. There is a company that handles discontinued parts and they may be able to assist you. They are known as Angel Appliances.com and their telephone number is 1-877-835-6030. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

I have a simliar similar problem as described by patrick previously. In my case the door alarm light is stuck "on" and can't be turned off. The refrigerator indicator is stuck at 33 degrees and can't be adjusted. How do i test the keypad and control board for continuity? Also, i'm using this refrigerator without the water dispenser and the ice maker connected to a water supply, as i don't need those features. Would that have any effect on temperature control problem i described?
For model number JFC2089HES
Hello Robert, Thank you for your inquiry. Not having the water dispenser and ice maker hooked up should not have an effect on the temperature. I would also check the defrost thermostat, defrost heater, damper control, evaporator fan motor, and the thermistor. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, there are YouTube videos available to assist you. Hope this helps!

Do you have an installation video for Jenn Air Refrigerator Touchpad WP67005445?
Thanks!
For model number JFC2089HES
Hello Maria, thanks for your inquiry! Slip a large flat-head screwdriver under the front corners of the control module, carefully, to pop out the entire module, then peel off the keyboard/touchpad, taking care to disconnect any wiring that is attached to it. Then you can stick on the new touchpad and reassemble everything. Always remember to disconnect power before attempting any repairs to electrical appliances! Hope this helps.
