no cold air coming into refrigerator area, all frozen up
first I looked into the refrigerator for blockage of air flow.
none found, I looked into the freezer area to see if fan was working ,it was, noticed ice built up on the outside of the metal cover letting me know it was not defrosting ,It was easier for myself to pull freezer door off , then the ice-maker,only three 1/4" hex head bolts, two 1/4" hex bolts only holding the metal cover . The quickest way to defrost was using a blow hair drier .once it was all defrosted I disconnected the defrost heater and using a volt/ohm meter,I ohm out the element, finding out I had no reading .The one thing I forgot to mention, unplug the frigertor first !!!

Freezer section icing up, getting too cold, refrigerator getting too warm.
Local appliance repair co. diagnosed and replaced motorized door in refrigerator section; problem manifested itself again one week later. Same appliance repair co. then said it was probably the defrost thermostat, they changed thermostat; problem came back after another week. I went on your site and figured that the next most likely thing was the defrost heater. I ordered one and it came the next day. I dismantled the various panels, sensor covers, air dams and removed and replaced the heater element. After watching the refrigeration cycle for a couple of days I saw that the problem appeared to be cured then I replaced the panel and sensor and fan covers and put the ice cream back in. That was a week ago, it seems to be ok now.

I am installing a defrost heater. I have everything disassembled. The old defrost heater goes through the coils on one side. How do I remove it?

Hi James, Thank you for your question. Here is a link to one of our videos from YouTube that you may reference on how to install the defrost heater, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fb8iz56hcEo. The refrigerator and defrost heater in the video may not show exactly like the one you have, but it will give you a general idea on how to install the part. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Why is the bottom freezer frosting up like it's snowing
For model number 59677593801

Hello LaVerne, thank you for writing. There could be several reasons why its frosting up. The Defrost Heater may be defective. You may also want to inspect the Freezer Gasket Freezer Door Gasket - Black PartSelect Number PS3651266 to see if it is allowing warm in to disrupt the defrost cycle. And finally the issue may be with a faulty Electronic Circuit Board PartSelect Number PS11750388. Good luck with your repair.
