HI Dennis, Thank you for your question. There are a few parts that you will want to check. First I will list the more physical parts, so that you can look at them to see if they are worn or broken. You should check your drive coupling, your clutch assembly, and your direct drive. As for electrical parts, you should check your lid switch, motor, and the motor capacitor.
