Washer would not complete cycles; typically would wash only but not drain and spin
Removed upper back and timer knob and then timer and wire jacket. After replacing timer, washer at first did not work, then completed one load of wash, then on second load, it stopped at end of wash cycle, except when I leaned on lid which evidently closed the spin cycle switch which appears to be loose. So I'm saving the old timer which may be OK.

Would not rinse or spin
Do not assume it is timer...my bad...had washer apart to begin with , looking for problem...(ALWAYS look at the lid switch,I did not)when i broke the timer, and realized that was NOT the problem,I ordered lid switch and timer , installed both in less than 20 minutes , putting entire washer back together about an hour.Hooked it up , and POW!!!! IT WORKED!! lol!!!
relaced the timer, wich was not the prob. it was the switch on the lid that was bad , it was a seald switch that just came apart from what i have no idea, so i repaired the switch,

My Roper washer does everything but drain. After the number 6 on wash cycle it's dead all the way till rinse cycle. But it will not. Ripped it all apart. Nothing clogging this machine. And pump spins nicely. Lid switch is working properly too.
For model number RAS6233KQ0
Hi Anthony,
Thank you for your question. If the washer is not draining, There are some parts that you will need to check to see which ones are causing the issue. You will need to check the lid switch, the direct drive water pump, the direct drive motor coupling, the clutch assembly and the lid strike. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
