When dryer is running the element keeps heating to hot. Only stops when you open door or turn timer to a off position

We would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: high limit thermostat, fixed/cycling thermostat, heating element, dryer belt, lid switch and blower. You can test the parts with a multimeter. Also check your vents to make sure your vents are clear and have no obstructions. Hope this helps!
