Repair part
Ordered the part one day and it was received 2 days later. Seeing we live in the outer edge of Saskatchewan this was fantastic service. Part installation easy but the best part was how easy it was to locate on the parts diagram for the stand mixer so it could be ordered. Thank you PartSelect for this service to our family. Without it we would be stuck .

Factory Authorized Parts
Thought I'd save some money and ordered from a company that sold knock offs. The bowl rattled as the part wasn't quite the right curvature. Returned knock off and paid a few pennies more for a geniune replacement part. Hopefully I have learned my lesson. Part worked the way it should. Happy wife...happy life.

Spring clip broke off
As I was using my mixer the spring clip broke off. I immediately went to my computer and googled you. Twenty-four hours later the part had arrived and I installed it by removing two screws, holding the spring in place and replacing the screws. At the same time a repairman was in our home repairing our drier and I felt so empowered by my repairmanship that I nearly asked him to leave!
Thanks for your extreme promptness and readable parts chart.

Spring latch on Kitchenaid broke
Two flat head screws removed, swapped out the latch, and replaced.
The entire repair took about two minutes.
Price was acceptable given the worth of the mixer.

After 40 years, the spring latch that holds the bowl in place broke from metal fatigue. I make bread for a Farmers Market and HAD to have that part. The part arrived in less than 18 hours!!!!
I screwed the two screws into the place of original holes and Voila! it was repaired.

Spring latch snapped off making bowl unstable and unless hand stabilized wobbled too much to use.
SO SIMPLE!!!!! Using a regular screwdriver, remove the remains of the Spring Latch. Place new one over holes and screw new one in place using the currently used screws. May wash off screws first if caked with gunk. OMG!!! TOOOO easy and saved me from throwing out a very terrific 40 year old PRO LINE KITCHEN AID MIXER!! To replace it would have been hundreds of dollars.
