Broken ice dispenser, hard-water deposit stained grill
To replace the coupling, remove the ice holder (in the freezer door), then use a socket driver to remove both the bolts and cap above the drive shaft. Remove the old coupling from the top of the drive shaft and replace with the new coupling, then reinstall removed parts.

the icemaker make the noise, but wouldn't produce ice. When we took the ice tray off, we saw that the metal piece that turned the ice crusher was broken.
I used the computer to enter the make and model of the refrigerator with the icemaker unit. We looked at the diagram to identify the name of the part and then ordered it. It was sent out the next day! We received it and installed it and it works perfect!

Upper coupling broken on Ice Bucket Assembly and inner segment and shroud broken on Chute Assembly.
I was disappointed you have to purchase the entire Ice Bucket Assembly in order to get the upper coupling. I also ordered the two seals and washer, only to find they are included in the Chute Assembly. The Chute was a little difficult to remove and reinstall. Other than that the Ice Bucket slides right in and the Chute Assembly requires 2 Phillips screws and 2 hex screws to be removed and reinstalled.

Hello Jim,
Thank you for your question. To replace the coupling, remove the ice holder (in the freezer door), then use a socket driver to remove both the bolts and cap above the drive shaft. Remove the old coupling from the top of the drive shaft and replace with the new coupling, then reinstall removed parts. We hope this helps.

My icemaker I replace and auger motor replace still wont drop ice out of door i think auger in ice bucket not turning
For model number GSF26C5EXY03
Hi Michael,
Thank you for your question. I could also suggest checking your dispenser door motor as well. If that motor is also working, it may be your dispenser control board that is the issue. Not sending the signal to the ice bucket to dispense the ice. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Does this coupler work on the ice bucket side or just motor side? Had fingers break off both sides and would rather not buy a full ice bucket.
