Quality part
Very happy the shipping was fast and the quality of my Ice Bin Coupling is excellent. I’m able to dispense ice again. The new part I received is of better quality from the original part I received with the fridge. I have saved Part Select on my home page just in case I might need them in the future. ?????????? All the way.

The bin coupler broke in half
When I inspected the ice bin I noticed the bin coupler was in half. So I ordered the part. I removed the screw that held in the old part. I saved the two washers. Simply following the diagram on the website made reassembly a piece of cake. It is obvious which piece is the coupling as only it can fit the other coupling. I put the screw back in and it was done.

Ice bin coupling cogs broke off
Remove ice maker from freezer, place on its side on table. Remove single screw securing coupling from shaft without removing shaft from housing. Remove old coupling, and attach new coupling using single screw.
This is a great time to completely clean the Ice maker bin and crusher unit.

Ice maker gear broke into pieces
It was the right part at the right time. I had ordered parts through the retailer from Whirlpool but they were not right. I found the part number on the Whirlpool website and ordered it from you. Once it came it was a thirty second fix. Thanks.

Ice would not exit the ice bin
It was so easy. I had no idea. My husband and I were directed to your site and we ordered the part with scepticism but with hope that it would solve the problem. As soon as it came in, my husband installed it in five minutes. It was working immediately. Thank you.

ice wouldn't come out
1. Tried to unscrew the bolt that held the broken coupling.
2. Had to have daughter hold on the plastic spinner on the other side so that the bolt would unscrew and not make the whole mechanism spin.
3. Screw came out.
4. Put coupling in place.
5. Put screw back in and tightened everything up.
Really easy, once the screw actually began coming out.

In the door ice maker coupling was broken, therefore, it would not dispense ice.
Ordered the parts, three days later they arrived. Put the coupling and the washer in place and screwed the dispenser back in place. Oh yeah, also installed the new filter that I ordered. Piece of cake.

Frost build-up in freezer at ice door opening
The only real difficultly I had replacing the ice door was getting the exterior trim off the freezer door. You have to push down on the bottom of the trim to release the tabs that hold it in place. After removal of the trim, the rest of the repair is pretty straight forward.
The ice door kit solved the problem!

My refrigerator is not dispensing ice. It's making ice, just not dispensing. When I press the pad on the door to dispense the ice, I can hear the motor running but nothing is coming out...crushed or cube. no ice is stuck anywhere. is the coupling the problem? it does not look to be broken (haven't taken it out.)
For model number GS6NBEXRS00
Hi Shery,
Thank you for the question. I suggest removing the bin and maybe taking it apart to see if there is something broken inside. It sounds like the Auger may not be turning and pushing the ice out. Check to make sure the auger is secure and if so try looking inside the ice bin to see if anything broke or became lose.
Hope this helps!

My refrigerator is not dispensing ice. The ice maker is making ice and when I hit the dispenser, the light and door opens, but no motor noise. Checked motor and it is good, but will not come on. Is there a fuse for this?
For model number GSF26C4EXY00
Hello James, thank you for contacting us. We suggest you check the wire harness for the motor. Make sure the sire connectors are not damaged and are firmly connected. If the wire harness is okay, you may need to replace the ice level control board, part number PS11769410. We hope this helps.
