I need pliers to pull the knob to turn on the dryer. I just ordered the timing knob. I hope that works. As it seems that nothing is pulling out the shaft, that looks like a tweezer, to turn on the dryer. Do you think i ordered the right part?

Hello Michelle, thank you for your question. Yes, if the knob is broken, but you can still turn the timer shaft to start a cycle the knob itself would be all you would need. I hope this helps!

When I start the washer, it will fill, advance to the wash cycle, but it completely times out the cycle in the wash mode and never drains, spins, rinses, or does the final spin. Everything will work if you manually take it through the cycles that did not automatically run.
For model number MAV9600EWW
Hi Gary,
Thank you for your question. If the washer is not draining, spinning or rinsing, the issue is likely the lid switch and it will need to be replaced. You should also check the pump, the belt, the timer and the motor as well. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Hi, i'm not sure which parts to buy. When i start my washing machine it fills with water and then does not move into the wash/spin cycles. When i fool around with the knob that i used to start the machine it seems loose and i keep trying to get it to start washing. I keep moving the top of the knob around cause it seems loose and finally it goes into the wash/spin cycle and completes the cycle. Luckily....i once fixed my dryer knob years ago that i ordered. please tell me what parts do i need. just the knob or 3 parts that fit together. i love this washer even though old so any help would be appreciated. carole

Hello Carole, thank you for your question. You would probably need at least 2 of the 3 knob pieces. Part Number: PS11739482 and Part Number: PS2027812. Unfortunately, the skirt (the part that sits flush with the control panel) has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available. I would recommend trying the one part that is available to see if that will fix the issue. The upper part of the knob, which you stated is loose, is part number PartSelect Number PS11739482. You may also want to be sure the timer mechanism shaft that the knob slides onto is not loose or cracked. I hope this helps!
