The bin coupler broke in half
When I inspected the ice bin I noticed the bin coupler was in half. So I ordered the part. I removed the screw that held in the old part. I saved the two washers. Simply following the diagram on the website made reassembly a piece of cake. It is obvious which piece is the coupling as only it can fit the other coupling. I put the screw back in and it was done.

I replaced the ice auger in my ice bucket assembly. Now the motor coupler does not engage with the motor shaft, or does so briefly and then slips out. When this happens, the auger no longer turns and the dispenser no longer dispenses ice. While disassembling and reassembling the ice bucket assembly, i lost a washer that sits immediately above the coupler, and replaced it with a flat washer. Is this the problem? Is the proper washer a spring type that forces the coupler down onto the motor shaft?
For model number KSCS25INSS02
Hello Tom, thank you for your question. The washer that goes right after the coupler is part number WP2198661 and looks like a plain flat washer. I don't believe there is anything specific about it. I would recommend checking the assembly again to make sure all the spacers are in the right spot. It sounds like the coupler is slipping from the motor shaft. You might want to check the shaft and the Drive Shaft Coupling Sleeve, and Seal ( items# 26 36 30 on the bucket diagram). I hope this helps!
