Simple part for serious repair
Very pleased how fast the part arrived. Removing the old thimble was a problem when I mistakenly pulled the warn rim off when removing the hinge. What should have been a ten minute repair took an hour of fiddling to get a grip on the remaining thimble. I know for next time of the fridge lasts that long. There is a lot of weight in the door shelves... so we will see how long this thimble lasts.

Right part, easy installation
Had to take the fridge door off to replace the cam at the bottom. This was cheap and easy to do at the same time so did it as well. Added less than 2 minutes to the job

Refrigerator door failing to close without being pushed shut
Replaced upper cam piece on bottom hinge and also replaced pivot thimble on upper hinge.
No problems, except pivot thimble glued in place. Had to cut up and pull out with pliers. Everything works like new now.

The door on the refrigerator side doesn't seem to have enough pressure to stay close when you close the freezer door it cause the fridge to open slightly. Could this be the hinge the thimble or something else causing this problem? Thanks for your help
For model number GD5SHAXNB00
Hi Paul, Thank you for the question. I suggest checking to see if the door is sitting level first. If the door is not level it can prevent it from staying closed. If the door is level then I suggest replacing the door gasket as it may have lost the magnetism used to keep a tight seal. Hope this helps!

Refrigerator door (fridge side) is not aligned. The problem stems from the top hinge. The piece of the hinge (metal post) that goes down into the top of the door is not hugged or gripped by the piece it goes down into. What is the piece the metal post goes down into? The thimble? Any help would be appreciated. The refrigerator door has to be pushed shut and is not staying shut all the time.
For model number ED5LHAXMB10
Hello Tara, Thank you for your inquiry. Researching the model number that you have provided, the metal post would go into the thimble at the top of the door, part# PS11739043. We hope this helps and if you need help placing an order for a part, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

Good Day Rodger. Thank you for your question in regards to your unit (Model Number KSRG25FKSS04). To realign the door, just pry off the hinge cap and loosen the hinge screws.
