I called an experienced plumber, who balanced and installed my new dishwasher properly, using the brackets I ordered from Parts Select, after an INEXPERIENCED plumber had tossed the factory-provided mounting brackets out with the shipping carton. Relief!

My filters had completely clogged up with hard deposits and food left on the dishes after running the dishwasher.

My filters had completely clogged up and had not cleaned my filters at all which was a no-no.I had lots of food left on the dishes after running my dishwasher, so I took bothp filters out and replaced them no tools required. I won’t be using powdered or liquid detergent for my dishwasher anymore only pods and promise to clean my filters once a month, so hopefully that’ll help keep them clean. Very easy replacement even for an old woman.

The old rack was rusty leaving stains on our china

The new rack came with four parts... those four parts were the wheels that the rack rides on to slide it into the dishwasher. You will need to recycle two rubber bumpers, your old utensil basket and the cone in the center of the rack. Getting the cone free was not easy. It has to be rotated to release it from the wire rack. I had to pry i t free with a screwdriver. Once rotated it lifted out easily. I noted how the cone lined up in the old rack and installed it the same way in the new rack. It was much easier to install than remove. The new rack has a gray tinge to it but fits perfectly and we are pleased with the end result.

I shut off the power to the dishwasher, then I removed the front panel under the door. On the right side just behind the electrical box there are two wires going up to the hi-limit thermostat, (you may need a small mirror to see it), remove one screw that is holding the thermostat bracket, unplug the wires from the old thermostat and inst all new one. Screw bracket and thermostat back to the underside of the dishwasher, reinstall the front panel, turn on the power, done.

Super simple.
Remove all screws around the stainless metal shroud inside the door. DONT remove the hinge screws.
Torx bit required.

Unplug detergent dispenser and place outer door assembly aside. Dispenser has small clips holding it in, top, bottom and sides I believe. Push these in, dispenser falls out into dishwashe r.

Insert new unit, reverse all steps. Done.
Dont for get to reattach the wires!

Removed old gasket. Cleaned the area and let dry. Aligned gasket, pressed into the groove. Corners are tricky, stretch and press to get a tight seal. Follow around appliance. Inital try, small leak. Adjusted seal second use no leak. 10/10 would recommend this part. Super easy self install.

removed screws holding dishwasher to counter top, raised leveling pads, pulled dishwasher out, unplugged wiring, removed hold down nuts from inside dishwasher and installed new heater element, this was all easy the hard part was finding the code to reset the dishwasher there was no paperwork inside the dishwasher although there was an empty plastic holder. The code that worked for my model was with the door open to push the normal wash button then the high temp button three times as fast as you can within four seconds then close the door. It worked and reset the dishwasher which ran a short cycle then shut down as normal and is now working fine. After doing this select the beverage of your choice and relax. Hope this helps someone.

  • Tim from BURTONSVILLE, MD

Was able to replace and repair without taking the dishwasher out. Thermostat is behind and to the left of the power junction box. Has 2 wires going to it. It is up against the bottom of tub. I used an angled mirror to see what I was doing. 1 small screw to detach and pull down thermostat. Be sure power is off before you start. Also reprogrammed defaults. Hit any button 1-2-3, 1-2-3, 1-2-3, fast and close door. Let it sit 15 min to run and re-set defaults. Now I have heat and dry dishes.

Detergent dispenser latch broken
12 of 13 people found this instruction helpful.
  • Benjamin from KNOXVILLE, TN
  • Really Easy
  • 30 - 60 mins
  • Screw drivers
Replaced the detergent dispenser module by first unscrewing the front outer cover from the dishwasher and removing it, then by unplugging the old detergent dispenser, then by bending the metal latch clips outward to remove the old detergent dispenser, then by bending the metal latch clips inward before inserting the new detergent dispense r, plugging the new one into the wiring harness then re-securing the front outer cover of the dishwasher door.

This repair could be done in under 15 minutes but my dishwasher is so old that there was a lot of gunk built-up around the screws that hold the front cover on that I wanted to take my time cleaning up real nice.

The detergent dispenser is VITAL for getting dishes clean. Without it working properly, the detergent will be removed from the wash during the pre-wash/soak function and your dishes will not come out clean. I HIGHLY recommend doing this repair if your detergent dispenser is not working, and I had a great experience with www.PartSelect.com
