WD13330TD (AOWEEUS) LG Washer - Instructions

Tipped the washer on its side to expose the bottom, removed the plastic lid adjacent to the pump after removing the screws holding it , then, using a flat head on a pry tab pulled out the pump, removed the hoses with pliers to complete the extraction, swapped the pump on my bench. . assembly is reverse of disassembly. .

ordered part from Part Select and it was here very quickly,but the part came damaged (not the fault of Part Select). I ordered another one and PartSelect had it here the next day. I watched the video on how to replace it and it was very helpfull.The particular part I replaced (pump motor) does not seem very durable. I will buy an American made washer the next time I need one. I will use Partselect in the future and recomend it to others.

disasemble the whole mashine... split outer tank...pound out old bearings... press in new... reassemble.... look for leaks... repair man estament..$900...cost me less than 100.. took 4 hours

took lid off of washer (slides back, not pry) and had to dismantle from springs, rubber around door and pistons on bottom. also had to disconnect from electrical plugs and took out dispenser drawer and all hoses. also have to take off magnetic piece devices from off back of drum. mark everything before dismantling with a black permanent marker so you will know what went where when putting back together and what pieces were facing up,top, etc. once get everything freed up, entire tub pulls up out of the washer. get old shot bearings out of drum, but be careful not to beat on it too much so that you don't damage the shaft or "oblong" the tub, etc. ordered parts that arrived in about 2 days. to put new bearings back in, get large washers -one for front and one for back -same size as the bearings so you will have equal pressure coming from front and back, put a long bolt thru the holes in the bearings with one of the large washers on each end. put a nut on the end of the bolt and begin to tighten. this will pull the bearings together back into their positions without ruining them and gives you equal pressure all around. be careful when you get them tight, they will fit snugly back into place. put it all back together carefully, just like you took it apart. if you labeled everything, you should have no problem putting the puzzle back together. before putting the tub pieces back together, i ran a bead of silicone caulk to prevent leaks. started it back up and runs great! fixed it for total of $72 (including shipping charges), which is a lot cheaper than buying a new washing machine. it is tedious and somewhat challenging, but if you are in any way mechanical, you shouldn't have any problems.

Disconnected power. Removed washer top, upper front control panel, and front panel. Removed hoses from washer drum housing. Removed cabling and support springs and stabilizers. Removed drum housing from cabinet. Removed bolts that secure the two halves of housing. Removed rotor from drum shaft. Removed stator from housing. Supported drum housing and with hammer and punch, removed drum shaft from bearings. Replaced bearings and seal and reassembled in reverse order.

My washer would try to spin and remove the water according to the time allowed. Consequently my washer would take longer than the time allowed to drain therefore water would send a code error then the machine would stop working. So I remove the hose from the pump and found my son's little small sock blocking the drain. I removed the sock and reinstalled all hoses. Everything is fine now. No need for a replacement item. Just a little servicing.

Found on line OE meant washer not pumping out water with the suggestion to clean the filter and inspect the pump and lines for blockage. No problems there. You must be careful to empty the water manually before removing the filter. My wet vac helped but I still made a mess. I found a mechanic to look at the washer. He said it is common for the pump on these washers to go bad, especially if the washer has sat out of service. They wanted $300 to replace the pump. I found the part on this website for $53 and replaced it myself. The only hard part was emptying the water without making a mess and leaning the washer up and back far enough safely to remove the pump, then working on my back under the machine.

The pump is apparently used for more than one washer, and the R&R instructions may be significantly different. I found a youtube video for my exact washer.

Removed the top, the front, got to the pump, removed it and replace it with the new one.

Found the part of Part Select by describing the problem. used a Utube video and step by step we were able to take apart, replace and put back everything with just a screw driver - I saved so much money!
