first i removed the front panel unclamped the hoses unscrewed the 3 screws that hold it in pulled it out, opened the new one and actually dropped it in and it fell into place with the holes lining up inserted the screws and hose clamps and reinstalled the belt which fell off when the old pump was removed, put the front back on and gave it a test then let the wife do a load of wash it worked like new

after doing some research I found out that a loose or slipping water pump belt could cause the water pump to not pump out the water correctly. Under the washer is the belt. All you do is have someone lift the front of the washer up enough that you can reach under and remove the belt. Then replace the belt back like you took it off.

pulled the machine out, tilted it backward to expose the bottom. pulled off the old belt. got the new belt started on the three pulleys. pulled the belt to spin it , and...............done !!

Piece of cake. Raise up the front of the machine. the belt slips of easy by turning the main drive wheel. put the belt on the two small one and then rotate the big wheel as you slip the belt into the grove. good idea to first clean the wheels of any old belt material that may be worn off. Piece of cake!

I had my 12 year old son climb to the back and he took off all the screws necessary in the back and took the part completely off. We ordered the part and waited for it to come in. We replaced the part, the screws and honestly, the only thing we had trouble with was replacing the small cover where the hoses stick out of the washer. Was an easy efficient experience that may have saved me $300.00+ dollars. Thanks to my 12 year old son we got her fixed up. The washer works like brand new.

Tilted machine back, put a paint can under it and did R & R with belts.

Unhooked the macine pulled out for easy access .removed drive belt rear cover plate ,vaccumed remaining water out thru drain hose with wet and dry vac. Removed hose clamps and hoses .removed the three hex screws holding the pump to the base plate. The removed the old pump , Installed the new pump hoses access plate and belt . Hooked the machine up . Worked perfect.

Took off belt and ran motor. No noise. Then took off drain pump and spun it by hand and felt rubbing on one spot. I figured the bearings were going bad, so I ordered the parts and replaced them.

My husband unhooked the water lines, unplugged the washer and remove the waste water hose, then we tipped it over and easy as pie the belt came off and the new one went right back on. I did not see any tears or breaks in the old belt, but it was stretched out a bit, and the washer is once again quiet. This also gave me an opportunity to clean under the washer, which we all know we don't do unless we have to. Cheap, quick, and easy fix for someone to do there self.

Turned water off,tilted unit forward,removed lower rear cover,removed belt,laid towels around ,removed inlet hose and exit hose off pump,removed 3 screws holding pump,removed pump and installed new one,reversed order of disassemble, has been running great ever since.

Turn water off at the inlet valve of hose you are replacing. Disconnect inlet hose the washer and let water drain out in a bucket. Then remove old hose. Replace new hose to inlet valve then washer . Use pliers to tighten both ends. Turn on water to check leaks at both ends of hose.

Repair was very easy. I removed the old pulley from the motor shaft by breaking it. And then tapped the new one into place. It works great. DON'T buy a new motor for $120, just replace the pulley $6. This whirlpool pulley fits the Admiral motor perfectly!
