PDW8800LB General Electric Dishwasher - Instructions

The repair was easy. Removed all the screws from the inside door panel, approx. 11. Watch out for that last screw as there isn't anything else holding the outside panel, inside panel and control panel together other than those screws. I then unplugged the old dispenser backed out another 6 screws and replaced the old dispenser with the new one. Put it all back together within about a half hour.

Simple replacement. Also note lower rack comes with all wheels attached

Easiest repair ever. My new rack arrived in three days, opened the box and slid it in. Better quality than the original. Excellent service!

The repair was quite easy.
You simply take the new rollers and attach the pins to each of the rollers purchased. I gladly remove the old roller units. I placed each of the new rollers onto each pin of the lower rack unit, and snap them into place.
The rack rolls with ease now thankfully!

After removing the screws, the front of the dishwasher easily came off. I put 2 screws back in to hold the control panel in place. I did not want that to dangle while replacing the part. The part came off easily after removing the screws. Everything went together easy.

It was sooo easy, I can't believe I took so long to get these new rollers and studs. Shipment arrived in 2 days, I removed those old melted wheels, through them away and installed the new ones, took me less than 10 minutes, it was painless, no tools needed. I did follow a tip from a buyer that was to attach the studs to the wheels prior attaching them to the lower rack and it was a very usefull tip. Do that! Now my dishwasher is like new again. Removed the lower rack, removed all of the plastic wheels and axles, mounted the new wheels on the new axles and put them on the lower rack, reinstalled lower rack. Very easy and simple.

I simply removed the old (broken) stud rollers by pinching them with a needle nose pliers and pushing them out, snapped the new stud roller in the wheel, and snapped the wheel onto the lower basket unit. If you have all of the wheels and they are in good shape, you do not need to buy new wheels, the new stud rollers work just fine with the old wheels.

Removed empty basket from dishwasher. Placed basket upside down and removed remaining wheels from basket by detaching worn axel from attachment points. ie, No tools needed for this procedure. Once axel and wheels were removed, I squeezed the end of the old axel with needle nose pliers or regular pliers to relieve the outward pressure and pushed the old axel out of the wheels. Easy, popped right out.
Positioned new axel against the outer wheeel hole and applied thumb/finger pressure to snap in new axel. Took the wheel with the new axel and
attached it to the basket at the original position. New axel grips the basket like a clothes pin would.
Continued and replaced all eight axels at this time.
Replace basket in machine, stand back and admire work and parts!!!! Parts received promptly with no hassels. Excellent company to do business with, clear photos and ordering forms.

went to sears and was told axles not available ! after they sold my wife all 8 wheels in two diffrent colors. started looking on line found your web site I entered my model number. In a matter of minutes I found the parts checked stock ordered them and recived conformation.
prices and shiping are fair. ordered recived and installed parts in 4 days WOW ! wished all purchases went this smooth.

Really all it took was removal of the old wheels which would not stay on anyway and the installation of the new ones. That required the axle and wheel being put together and the installing both of those on the lower rack. I was about to buy a new dishwasher when the salesmen told me about a product called Lemi Shine it saved my hundreds of dollars and the inside of my dishwasher looks brand new. With my new wheels I am good to go again.

Simply pull out the old axle and snap in the new one. It is simple. Also the replacement axels were MUCH better quality than the originals. The bottom tray now slides in and out very easily. Note, if you have this problem, you do not need to replace the wheel, just the axle.
