MAH6700AWW Maytag Washer - Instructions

I had to pull the washer out from the wall. SInce it is in front of the door going out into the garage made it dificult getting tools. I had to lay on my side doubled up in order toget to the hose. Read more l hard part was getting the new one up tight on the drain. Used a heavy duty screw driver to push it up so the clamp would bite.

My husband simply removed the old sensor and put the new one in. It was not difficult.

Removed the broker door lever with screwdriver, installed the door lever with screwdriver. Took about 5 minutes.

I had noticed the latch on door was split so I ordered the latch, but before I could put it on, the latch on the front of washer was locked. I then looked at the messages from others on this site for help. I located the part, ordered it and got it in 2 days! Put new latch in and screwed everything back the way it was and in 15 minutes, the washer is running! (I am a woman too!)

Very easy repair, once I read the reviews and watched a couple of you tube videos. I just released the band holding the gasket in place, pulled it back, unscrewed the latch and installed a new one. Less than a 10 min job. I am glad I found this web site, thanks guys!!

Took both the screws out on the top back. Lifted up the back about 1/2 inch and slid to the back. Reached into the front of the washer where the latch was connected. Disconnected the 3 wires (plugs) attached to the latch, took out the 3 screws located inside the washer door. Took a second person just to hold the latch and bring it out aft ... Read more er the screws were off the front inside the washer door. Put new latch in, connected the wires, put in the screws behind the washer door (3 of them) and slid the top into place and put the screws in the back. Takes longer to tell you than to do it. Remember the screw on the left side front (top) as you face the washer and remove that screw. The plastic had disintegrated on mine but am not going to replace that part until I have to.

The product came on time and was perfectly rapped , it took me 15 mins to install after watching you tube videos on front loader washer . I was happy I didn't have to call a service man in . . . .

Removed top cover. Manually opened door through top cover opening. Removed 3 screws at front holding assembly. Removed 3 harnesses attached to assembly. Replaced with new assembly and screwed back in. Replaced harnesses. Certainly an easy DIY job.

Coins sheared the impeller blades from the pump. I disconnected the power, removed the back panel, with pliers slide the hose clamp off the hose and remove hose...you will drain water from both hoses when removed (if washer is full of water be prepared for it all to drain)remove 2nd hose clamp and hose, with a 1/2 socket remove the 3 moun ... I went to Maytag.com and typed in my model number and it came up with different parts I found the glass part I needed and ordered it. I received it in like 3 days. I had a phyllips screw driver and it the removal of the base around the glass replace the glass and screwed it right back on and started washing clothes. No leaks at all. I am ... This took ten minutes .... super easy .... DO IT YOURSELF!!!! About 75.00 with shipping ... can only imagine this woulkd have been 250 to 300 to have somebody com e onsite.

I started by watching the repair video on the site. Only tools needed were a phillips head screwdriver and a standard screwdriver. had the whole thing done and operational in about 15 minutes

Used online video which was really good. After changing the lever, I realized I needed to order a new latch because it was broken also.

Unplug electric. Open door. Peel rubber bladder back from washer door seal enough to expose wire retension ring. Remove three screws that hold door latch. Remove latch. Remove three wire harnesses. I read what others wrote and put two and two together and 15 mins. later I was up and running. lots to take apart but it all went smooth and no left over parts washer runs like new again
