I have moderate to good mechanical skills, but getting the old switch out was a sizeable challenge. Since this switch suffered some damage during extraction, I was lucky to have ordered a new one to replace it. Reinstall took approximately 90 seconds. PartSelect saved me an expensive service call.

Dmitri from HOUSTON, TX
- Difficult
- 30 - 60 mins
It was more difficult than I expected, I even thought they sent me a wrong part. The glass shelf needs to slide into two cut-outs at the back end of the bin cover. It initially felt like it was impossible. But jut keep pushing gently at a very shallow angle and it will slide right in.

The repair was an easy replacement. The problem was the LG part was no longer available from LG or any of the other places I tried. I just popped out the broken bin and slid the new one into the slots on the door.
The fix was easy. I appreciate the expert advice on which part to purchase, as that was difficult to figure out. I received a prompt response to my question and the replacement part came quickly.
