The lights wouldn't always come on.

I actually watched a YouTube video for LG refrigerators. The hardest part was taking the wire harness out. Mine was really stuck in there. But got it, put the new switch in and viola it worked. Yay!

Light doesn’t come on when fridge door opens

Pulled fridge away from wall, unplug electrical connection, open fridge door, use knife to prize out door switch, pull off and replace switch from electrical wiring.

Plastic broken on freezer rack rail guide

Very simple
Removed wire rack
Removed 3 phillips head screws, requires large phillips screw driver
Removed old rail guide
Installed new rail guide and screwed back in place
Reinstalled rack

Door switch would not turn on interior refrigerator light.

I had previously watched a YouTube video (do this first!!) on a similar Kenmore model so I knew what to look out for: (1) turned off power, (2) took thin putty knife to slip under outer lip of switch (most screwdrivers are too thick), (3) wiggled switch at front end to release the tab, (4) unplugged from the socket, (5) plugged in new switch, (6) popped new switch back into door, (7) turned on power. Voila !! Super easy. I couldn't believe it.

Broke right freezer rail

Removed old rail by unscrewing 3 screws and put new rail on

light didn't come on when the door was opened

I took a very thin bladed screwdriver and took the old part out -carefully.
The new part fit in quite easily.

Plastic runner had broken

removed 2 screws and replaced them on new part. Very easy.

Switch stops working

Replace with new switch. this is the third switch i have replaced in 10 years. the only part, besides a light bulb, that has gone bad. obviously this is a problem with this model for Kenmore, or just poor switch design.

Crisper bin gide roller broke off frame.

Ordered new part, which was crisper frame. Removed old frame and replaced it. Cleaned crisper glass and set in place.

Freezer frost accumulation

After noting frost in freezer Right rail started to jam. Noted freezer door was closing crooked. Rail replacement resolved issue. It had been frosting up for some time so Rail must have been broken for a while. Check door seals they were not closing flush.

The shelf that holds the crisper drawers had cracked and finally broken.

Bought a new shelf. Bought a center support (new), Put the new center support in the shelf. Removed glass, old shelf and drawers. Replaced the broken shelf by hooking the new one in to existing supports. Replaced glass. Replaced drawers.
