LCE756BS8 Frigidaire Dryer - Instructions

Unplugged dryer, Removed top of dryer, Removed electrical connection to thermal limiter, tested thermal limiter with meter and found that it was bad,removed defective limiter, ordered part, waited for part (1day), put new thermal limiter in dryer. reattached connections, put top of dryer back on, plugged in dryer, attempted dryer start up and it worked. Very easy because of the information I got on this site. Thank you

It was easy. No problem getting the to v-belt.

Took cover off and removed damaged part. Removed wiring and reattached to new part

took front panel off, removed access panel in rear to disconnect the belt from motor. removed top panel (this is a stack unit) take plastic rivets loose from lint trap, remove lint trap tube, pull drum out after slightly pulling up to dislodge drum from bearing cradle, Remove bracket and bearing from back of unit, clean parts of old grease (be carefull not to loose small ball bearing on back) Reassemble parts using moderate amount of new grease, put parts back together in reverse order.

I watched the video on YouTube for the Frigidaire repair of a thermal limiter and heater assembly. I was able to determine new part numbers very easily from the Partselect website and received them overnight. I unplugged the unit. The dryer came apart as described in the video. Old parts were attached with a few bolts and were easily removed. New parts were easily installed with a few bolts. I reassembled the covers, plugged in the dryer, and the heat now worked. I ordered one extra part which I returned and was immediately reimbursed for. Great service and great do-it-yourself information!

I met her in the basement lonely and needing a fix i went down on my knees and started to take off her worn out belt slowly down past her pulley and off her soon to be hot transmision. i gently held her pulleys as i wrapped her new belt around them. putting her chasies back together and plugging her in i pushed her button and off she went shakening and rallting once again.

removed the front then removed the belt that turns the drum pulled the drum strait up from the top then removed the bushing from the back wall put the new one in I also put A little grease in the new bushing to keep it from wearing installed the drum and front. realy easy. I'm A Instructor at A technical collage in Winnfield Louisiana and I used this as A project for my students.

1. watched PartSelect video 2. adjust for the fact this was a dryer over top a washer. 3. we were able to remove the very top plate of the dryer and not have to remove the drum to get to the Thermal Limiter. 4. i used a drill driver with a square bit to speed up getting out screws. 5. It requires a ladder to be able to work from the top and 6. some pretty good manual dexterity to get the limiter out without removing drum. 7. the replacement seems to have improved the drying function!

took the front panel off the dryer by lifting the lid and tilting it back and letting it hang there removed two screws from front panel at top right and left side and one clip fastener from left side of panel lifted the panel up and out took belt
off of motor pulley by opening back panel loosen belt tightner by pulling to the right takeing belt off motor pulley removed drum through front panel opening replaced drum bearing which is self explanitory changed heating element
by removing the power wiress from it removed the screws
from the back of dryer and replacd everything in reverse order WARNING MAKE SURE YOU DISCONNECT POWER I REPEAT MAKE SURE YOU DISCONNECT POWEr

Once the drum was removed it only took 10 min to remove and replace the coil. It took approx one hour to complete

Took apart dryer and replaced limiter located on back, reassembled dryer and tested wiithout connecting to vent. Dryer working fine without vent connection. However as always something simple turns to disaster when children help. While cleaning out lint from dryer vent which I will say was the original problem causing the limiter to trip, youngest son wanted to help. Son did not know that to walk in an attic you must step on joists not drywall. No one was hurt just banged up falling into the garage. Extended repair to ceiling added dificulty factor of 2 days and a bit of insulation clean up. Good news is the dryer works fine and the vent is no longer clogged up with lint. Watch your help it always adds to the repair.

Easy,read your instructions. Look at problem, and started playing around with inserting the belt, 1st try and done. Also used a step ladder to get a better look/access.

The most difficult part of the process was removing the panels to gain access to the drum. After removing the drum, the heater assembly is secured by 4 screws and is easily removed. The heater assembly is easily installed with the 4 screws and reattaching the wiring. The top panel should be removed to allow easy reinstallation of the drum. If replacing the drum belt, there is an access panel in the back of the unit that will allow you to slip the belt over the motor and idler pulleys.
