KRFF302ESS09 KitchenAid Refrigerator - Instructions

I got really tired of taking food out covered in icicles and stabbing a huge block of ice out of the bottom. Turns out all he needed was a little wheel with cogs and I looked up the sticker model number on this site and clicked the part of the fridge. So simple, wish I would’ve done it sooner.

Access back of unit, lower left corner. Remove wire capacitor retention clip. Unplug cold capacitor, plug in replacement, reinstall wire retention clip, test.

I came across this site and looked at the diagrams. Instead of buying a new crisper bin frame, I noticed that the crisper bin frame was missing the frame brace. I purchased the frame brace and installed it in the crisper frame, which was easy to push into the slot. This solved my problem. No more sag!!

Thanks for the video showing how to replace the Humidity Slide the knowledge that the end with the flair needed to be slightly bent to SNAP into place was a big help.

Pulled out broken parts and snapped/ pushed into place new ladder hooks 15 min max

Replaced the rail and slide baskets. Also readjusted the basket. This was extremely easy and saved me close to $500

Killed the power to the fridge. Then, used a small, thin screwdriver to depress the clip on the bottom of the switch and wriggled the old switch out. The two wires easily came off the contacts with pliers. Connected the wires to the new switch and snapped it into the hole--clip facing down and contacts facing up. Turned the power back on and checked the switch. Worked perfectly! Easy job.

It took longer to empty the glass shelf above the Crisper Bins than to replace the rail. Since the part simply snaps in place, no tools were required

This is the small part that is critical to having a fully usable refrigerator but one that no one (even an authorized shop) has in stock. Just pop it back in, and you're done.

Ordered and placed in the freezer under ice machine.

I ordered the wrong shelf. Width was correct but the Depth was not. Started the return process and I'm seeing its still processing. This is since 2/28/2024. 3 Weeks ago. On that same day I ordered what I hope is the correct one, but still haven't received it. Fingers crossed something happens soon.

Just slipped it in. I think it's a very poor design.

We removed the old switch, unplugged it, plugged the new one in and it was easy to do. But when we tried to put the switch back in we had a very hard time doing it. Eventually got it in, but if it had not been for the difficulty we had getting the new switch to snap in to place, it would have taken under 5 minutes.
