Important to unplug the appliance first. There were two screws which were at the top opening of the oven. They were a bit obscure, but with a bit a searching, I was able to find them. After removing those two screws, the entire top lifted up. There were four screws from the bottom of that assembly which were easy to find, and once rem

oved, the top lifted of easily. I found it easier to remove the two power lines with two easy disconnects, this made it easier to work on the assembly. The element itself was held down by two simple clamps which required no tools. There were four easy to remove wires, and the element came right off. Simply reversing the process put it right back together, plug it in, and back to cooking again.

This was a very smooth repair. In total it took about 5 minutes. The pot drawer below the oven wasn't gliding like it once did. After I replaced the glides it works like new. Please note, if you are going to replace one side go the next step and replace both to provide balance to the drawer.

I watched the repair video on this site and another on YouTube before I started. The rear panel has a different shape and two additional screws on the bottom edge. The power clip was easy to manipulate.

First I removed the two screws that hold the glass cook top in place. Then I removed 4 screws that hold a small metal plate that shields the switch. Replacing the switch was very simply just a matter of unplugging four wire connectors from the old switch, sliding the new one in and reconnecting the wires. It was very easy to find the p

art on the website. I just located the switch on the diagram and ordered the part. I really surprised my husband that I ordered the part and repaired the stove by myself. He was intending on calling a repairman, but I did it myself.
