Door gasket tore.
With a small flat blade screw driver, gently pry the corner of the gasket from the door.
Pull it loose across the top, then down the sides.
Wipe the gasket track clean with a damp cloth.
Start installing the new gasket at one of the top corners. Then the other top corner. Press the gasket into the track between the top corners.
Next do the bottom corners. Pressing the bottom between the corners.
Then press in each side.
Elapsed time: 3-5 minutes.

Door switch would not turn on interior refrigerator light.
I had previously watched a YouTube video (do this first!!) on a similar Kenmore model so I knew what to look out for: (1) turned off power, (2) took thin putty knife to slip under outer lip of switch (most screwdrivers are too thick), (3) wiggled switch at front end to release the tab, (4) unplugged from the socket, (5) plugged in new switch, (6) popped new switch back into door, (7) turned on power. Voila !! Super easy. I couldn't believe it.

Dampness on gaskets, mold and mildew
on left side door, I had to remove the flapper (the piece that rotates when you close the door to allow right door to seal. very simple, remove the flapper hingelift up to get the flapper off the door and move it out of the way.
Remove both door gaskets by pulling them out with your hands. Not the orientation of the gaskets because you will have to install the new gaksets in the same orientation.
Press the new gasket in place, into the slot that goes around the inside of the door, by using two fingers to press it into place. Cntinue this all around then go back and press again to assure the gasket is fully seated.
In my case, replacing the gaskets did not solve the issue, but they needed to be replaced do to the condition. The moisture issue was resolve by replacing the flapper (mentioned above)
