GRF258JBTA (ASWCLGA) LG Refrigerator - Instructions

Removed the damaged tube and replaced the it with a new one.

Uncoupled the old connector, replaced with new connector and attached supply line. Repair easy with right part, prior to ordering the right part I had tried a compression fitting and it still leaked. U-tube and others demonstrating repair assured me I was on the right path.

I called LG and followed the instructions given over the phone. The instructions couldn't have been simpler. Disconnect the appliance for several hours and then connect again. I disconnected the appliance overnight, cleaned out the freezer, and reconnected it. Problem solved. Did not need to call a repairman and did not use the clips.

Remove push plate for water/ice maker switch, remove 2 screws and 2 wires for switch. Replace with new.

I replaced the entire plastic frame to fix the drawers. I'm frustrated that the design requires that I do this. Removed the metal bar that actually provides the support for the front of the frame and the drawers, etc. Three screws to remove and re-install. Easy. The glass just came out easily as it's not attached with any clips. I had to work to remove the clear plastic panels but a little careful persuasion and I was able to white supports out of the way and remove the panels. Then I removed the aforementioned bar and replaced the glass re-installed the whole assembly.

Simple replacement part.

The plastic is real weak and the articulation point is not manufactured strong. You have to put one end in a female receiver and flex the tray cover with your fingers crossed hoping it won't snap, while sliding the other side into a similar female receiver on the other side. While cleaning out the frig we removed the bottom shelf to remove the glass and really scrub it down. When we went to put it back in, my wife grabbed the crisper door front and snapped it offf. Replace the drawer crisper

slightly depressed tabs, lined up to mounting holes, released tabs.

Replacement part from PartSelect was OEM, identical to original part. Installation was very quick. Inserted hinge on left side and then depressed the right side to slip it into place. Presto, it was done. Most impressed with PartSelect on the OEM replacement part and very prompt delivery.

I removed the old lamp cover and case. Discovered that the last repair person had not re installed it correctly so the case had melted from the bulbs. I Removed the screws that was supposed to hold it up, assembled the case and cover, inserted the screws and anchored them in where they belong. Problem solved!

I did it myself and the refrigerator looks like new.

Removal was pretty easy-- replacing crisper drawer took a little care so as not the snap off the hinge- thank you for the speed in which I got my part, no sooner did I order my part- it showed up at my door. your service was outstanding, put you in my favorites just incase I need to order again.
