GR-L207EWW LG Refrigerator - Instructions

Pulled fridge away from wall, unplug electrical connection, open fridge door, use knife to prize out door switch, pull off and replace switch from electrical wiring.

I had previously watched a YouTube video (do this first!!) on a similar Kenmore model so I knew what to look out for: (1) turned off power, (2) took thin putty knife to slip under outer lip of switch (most screwdrivers are too thick), (3) wiggled switch at front end to release the tab, (4) unplugged from the socket, (5) plugged in new sw ... Closed valve to water supply line; Removed contents of top shelf. Removed top shelf by sliding it out. Unscrewed old water filter and screwed in new filter. Replaced to shelf and contents in reverse order. Opened water supply line.

I removed the lower back panel. The difficulty and time consuming part was finding the old parts. They were inside a cover on the side of the motor. The cover was difficult to remove. It slides away from the motor. The terminals on the replacement parts were oriented differently from the original, Like a mirror image. Accordingly, ... Read more I reversed the wires (side to side) and connected them to the replacement parts. The refrigerator is now working fine.

I paid for the expedited shipping and they sent me a cheap knockoff attempt at the part that had the wrong size hole. So they refunded me the money I paid for the part but not the shipping, and then I crushed the part they sent me with a hammer and threw it away.

Replaced old hose and installed the new one. Was very simple with the instructions in your email..... step by step, could not of been any similar.... you guys rock

First ,I unplug the refrigerator .
2nd i remove the back cover, clean the dust.
3th disconnect the water line, remove the all valve..
4th unplug all the wires and code ea with a No,remove the water lines

Replace with new switch. this is the third switch i have replaced in 10 years. the only part, besides a light bulb, that has gone bad. obviously this is a problem with this model for Kenmore, or just poor switch design.

I took a very thin bladed screwdriver and took the old part out -carefully.
The new part fit in quite easily.

Followed instructions online

Replaced water pump assembly, all compression fittings easy to put together

Easy install, small screwdriver under back of old switch push out and pull out with small pliers. unsnap the old plug and install new. YOUR DONE

Taped off area around switch to protect surface
Used putty knife to extract switch
Used screwdriver to separate connector from switch
Plugged in connector
Pushed switch assembly into opening

I have moderate to good mechanical skills, but getting the old switch out was a sizeable challenge. Since this switch suffered some damage during extraction, I was lucky to have ordered a new one to replace it. Reinstall took approximately 90 seconds. PartSelect saved me an expensive service call.

Unplug from wall receptacle. Pry switch out with screwdriver while pushing on inner tab. Then disconnect electrical plug.
