Sears told me the part was no longer available. I came to your web site and then called your customer service. A very nice customer service lady helped me find the part. Very simple to pull the old one off and reinstall the new one with a rat trap behind the unit. Just in case it came back. Could have been a client but probably was a rat. Thanks for the great service.

I started removing the switch by prying on the right side with a screwdriver, when it emerged enough I used pliers to finish removing it. I then unpluged rhe wires from the bad switch and pluged them on the new switch and "poped" it into the hole.

Connected the 2 wires and pushed in the switch until it clicked.

was able to grind the edge to map it fit

Emptied freezes, turned off power, took floor of freezer out [4 screws ], took two screws out of fan mounts and replaces fan. Reassembled by reverse process. Simple

Gently pry out switch in door jam with screwdriver and pull both connectors off and put connectors on new switch then push switch back into the hole. Looked it up on the internet and video showed how to and also had link to new part, ordered and less than a week later the fridge is bright again. I have an older freezer also and it seems that they all use the same switches. Very Very easy

Less than 5 minutes needed to remove cracked rail and replace with new rail. Must have a star wrench to perform task. Very simple task!

Soaked the new gasket in warm/hot water and snapped it on without any hassels. Thank you also for the fast delivery!

Removed slide from frame and replaced slide. Simple and easy.

Just as your video described, although due to the age of the fridge, it took a bit longer to remove the defective switch. Your video made this so simple, I can't imagine why we lived with a dark fridge for so long! I was ready to buy a whole new fridge, as repairmen are often nonexistent for small repairs. We bought the side door retainer strip with the hope we could simply cut it to length and it would be the solution for the top/bottom retainer strip not available.. The problem was the holes for the flathead screws on the door bottom do not match the pattern of the holes on the side retainer. This meant we had to mark and drill new holes carefully on a drill press and then cut the piece to fit. After that it was no problem at all to screw it back to door and install the new gasket. Sure wish the top/bottom retainer strips were in stock somewhere.

My experience with PartSelect was excellent. My main concern was ordering the right gasket. First, I found the model number on the inside of the refrigerator. I ran model number on PartSelect and the compatible gasket came up. I removed old gasket carefully pulling it out. I cleaned around the groove that holds the gasket in and where the gasket lays. I boiled water and put it in a cake pan. I warmed up the gasket and smoothed and straighten it out. I started in each corner of the gasket and then worked from each corner pushing it carefully into the holding groove. Took me about 25-30 minutes. It seems to be working great!
