AFB2534DEB13 Amana Refrigerator - Instructions

Popped off the control panel at the top behind the door. Found the thermistor and replaced it, cutting the wires and splicing the new one in. Immediately the warm section of the refrigerator was getting below freezing temperature readings, so the cooling vent was not opening. I put the old one back on and the temperature readings went ... Read more back to being accurate. So this was not the problem. I believe now that the fan somehow is not blowing enough cold air up. So now I'll probably buy a fan motor and maybe a blade and try that. Otherwise the computer module I priced at $500 so I hope it isn't that. I replace the fan motor a few years ago already.

It was a very simple operation to replace the parts and required essentially no tools, just a small screwdriver to pry up a tab for removal of the chanel on the front edge of the frame. The video was a great help. I was able to replace gaskets on both doors with out taking them off and no tools were needed.
One of the refrigerator doors has a plate that closes with the door that makes replacing the gasket questionable but I was able to do it with no problem.

.screw held in the center of the rail,pull it out,slide the rail up off the support brackets on the door,unplug the old one & plug in the new one,slide on, & replace the screw! That Easy

Remove rail and removed broken black plastic spring mechanism with new one and then replace rail.

Removed the door and replaced the broken door closure bushing. I had courteous help and responce from Parts Select people. Excelent turn around time on parts delivery.

Remove broken parts with philips screw driver (6 screws). Replace encaps while attaching pantry drawer lid. Insert center rail and new drawer.

At first I went to a local part supplier and they didn't have it in stock but could order it for me for $55.00 plus $10.00 to ship it. I told them I would have to think about it. I went home and got on the computer and found your web site and was I shocked when I saw the same part listed for $6.98 and $7.00 to ship it. You guys saved m ... Read more e $50.00. Very simple--Just remove all drawers, remove old end cap, remove slider from old end cap and put on new one. Screw on new end cap and replace drawers. Took about 10 minutes.

It was quit simple. I removed the draw and the shelves above the pantry unit. Once everything was removed (2min), I removed the one side pantry bracket ( 2 screw's). Put in the new pantry bracket and screw's and I was done. I'll give it ten minutes total. easy button Thank you

First, I took out the glass tray along with the two slide out compartments that are part of that assembly. Then I used a small socket set to take out the three screws that hold the part in place and along with the part a plastic connector comes out with it that adjusts the temp of the bin area. Line up the holes on the slider and two scr ... Read more ews come out that hold the slider to the part. Disconnet the plastic piece in the back that adjusts are flow (press down plastic holders) Reattach the slider, snap the plastic piece on the back and reassemble. Sounds complicated but once you are in there, its self explanatory.

The repair was pretty simple once we had the new one:

Unpacked new gasket and used a little heat in places to straighten it out.

just started at one corner by pulling out of groove and went around the door till all of gasket had been removed from the groove around the door.

Inserted into groove on one corner and then went around the door until all of gasket had been inserted.

Closed door and checked that there was good coverage all around the door.

Parts delivered quick. 15-20 minute repair time. Just needed to remove a few shelves, then screws to remove damaged parts and replace with new. Very easy repair.

removed 3 screws.disconnected power connection.removed old ice maker,put new one in.tightened 3 screws.reconnected power plug turned unit on.now makes great ice.
