Lots of jiggling until I found the screws to remove. After finally getting the top off the base there was the Instructions on a pamphlet taped to the bottom. The key tho get the top off is to remove the face and remove the proper screws( they are identifiable)unplug the electric plug 2 screws on the back sides and poof it is free!

The part was exactly what we needed. However, we didn't find the video online to show how to replace the part until we were almost finished. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovwcJhfWHXQ) If we had found the video, it would have saved us a lot of time because we undid more of the door than we needed to. Also, the video tells you exactly wh

at size tools to use. However, taking the door more apart allowed us to clean more of the inside of the door. So, watch the video before you start, and also, be prepared to spend time cleaning the insides of the door. Also, when we put the door back together, we accidentally turned the front glass panel of the door upside down and it wasn't noticeable until we had put the door back on the oven. So, we had to take it apart again to fix it. All said, we're very happy with the new part. Thank you PartSelect!

We ordered the part, it arrived quickly my husband removed the burnt out element. We took the back off the stove in order to install the new part. It was easier to connect from the back than reach in to the oven. An easy repair and the stove works fine now.

First I removed the screws and popped off the existing element. One of the wires "disappeared" back into the insulation, so I had to remove the back panel of the oven to access that wire and push it back through the opening. Then I attached the new element to the wires and replaced the finishing screws.

The only hard thing was contorting my old beat up body and joints long enuff to reconnect the 2 wires and oven heat sensor and put in 6 screws with a 1/4" nut driver. I did remover the oven door and that made it much easier for me.

I had my husband fix it! Very easy for me.
It didn't take him long. The most difficult part was getting to the screws. He had to practically climb into the oven.
The parts were shipped promptly and the whole process was relatively painless!

Unplugged the power supply. Took off the cover on the back of the unit. Unplugged the wires to the broiler element. Removed the bolts(4) holding the element inside the oven. Removed the temprature sensor from element and took it out. Put it all back the way it came out. Worked great. Took 25 minutes.

I too made the mistake of cleaning the oven with the shelves in place. It doesn't really harm them...but they turn a tarnished brown color...they look dirty. These replacement shelves were a perfect match. Pricing was reasonable, communication was terrific and shipping was super fast. Happy camper here :-)
