Refrigerator was not cold.

I had this problem before and it was the control vale in the back of the refrigerator. I ordered it and change that out in 5 minutes. That wasn’t the problem. I had the repairman come over and within 5 minutes he told me what the problem was. He showed me where the control board was. He then walked me through the removal process.

First remove the light cover on the Freezer & Refrigerator in front where the light button is located. Pull down on the front of the light cover. It pops out.

Second, in the front of the freezer & refrigerator temp control panel put your fingertips in front of the panel and pull down it’s hard to get the pins to release but the front pins will release, then pull down a little to allow the back hooks to release. (You can use a small common screwdriver if you can’t get it with your fingertips).

Next, once the panel is removed then disconnect the wiring harness. Then bring the panel to the counter, this is where you remove the circuit card and replace it. There are 4 hooks that hold the circuit board in place. Use a small common screwdriver to push the hooks away from the board. The new board comes as one piece. The board is perforated to allow you to snap the board. Directions come with the board and how to snap it. You will need to pay attention on how you removed the board. You will need to put the new board in the same way it came out.

Once the board is re-installed and lock into position reverse the process and install the control panel back into position.

Next is the programing of the board. Follow the directions that come with the control board and you will be back in business

This task took about 15 minutes to remove & replace and to program.

I was so happy to find that i could order the part online and not have to call a repairman and pay for a service call. The prat shipped in one day! It was very easy to install. Only tip i will give is, make sure you put it in the right direction. If placed in wrong the drawers won't open.

It took more time to open the shipping box than to slide the drawer into place :-)

Followed the instructions on the website. Removed glass shelf, installed rail and replaced salad crisper bins and glass shelf. Less than 5 minutes!

I watch a widea on part select 'how to do that' and was relly very easy to repleace a part. The delivery was next day. They are triting customers very serious and professionals. I'll recomended part select for all my friedds with similar problems. Thank you.

It was so simple! Removed the glass shelf that sits atop the vegetable bins, inserted the center crisper rail, put the glass shelf back on top of it and replaced the vegetable bins. I loved that I didn't have to bother my husband to do it! Very happy at how fast the part came after I ordered it.

remove crisper baskets. Remove glass shelf above baskets. remove broken rail note front and back end of rail. Place new rail with same orientation as old rail. Very easy repair.

I did remove the run capacitor of the starthing kit of compressor and another one new. It work fine.

It was easy to find on the site because of the great diagram of my Amana and it was super easy to repair- just had to drop it in place - paid 20 dollars with shipping - Im sure it would have cost me over $100 if I would have called a repair man

The unit has two fans on it. One is located in the back and the other is locate inside the freezer section behind the panel. Remove the four bolts holding the door to the sliding rack. Remove the ice machine. Remove the back panel. Noticed that the fan was covered in ice thus shorting the fan motor. Tested for voltage to the fan was good. Replaced evaporator fan motor and unit works perfectly

First I watched the How To video on the repair process. Then I followed the steps on the video and was finished in no time at all. Very simple! The ordering and delivery of the product was also quick and efficient.

Removed back cover. Removed fan with mount which was a little difficult. Installed new pan and parts that were removed. Part came in one day. Great service.

Refrigerator completely quit due to suspected power surge as a result of daily afternoon thunderstorms. Quit means compressor would not run, LED temperature controls would not light, but fan continued working. First, replaced Start Relay & Capacitor located attached to compressor. This was successful and compressor immediately started. However, Refrigerator controls at Electronic Control Board (ECB)failed to light up indicating no control over over unit. Replaced ECB and unit lit up and control established. The Start Relay & Capacitor are slightly difficult to find as they are black in color and merge into the base of the compressor. It helps to be flexible to remove and replace this unit due to it's difficult location. The ECB is easy to access as it is top inside front behind lights of unit. Plastic housing simply unsnaps for easy removal. Instructions do not tell you to make sure that you re-install the upper narrower control board with press pins toward outside of control face. A simple item but easily overlooked as one has to "pull" at the connecting cable of the two control boards. Success finally after three days. Parts Select was great and item shipped quickly. As a contractor, one can usually figure cost of job at three times the cost of the part. This repair would have approached $600. Cost of parts was $200. Savings were substantial and would recommend DIY provided you have time.

Thanks to some reviews we found online about replacing gaskets, ours went very smoothly. One person said to soak the gasket in hot water, which we did til it was very soft. Installed like a breeze. Then, the same person said to tape the door closed after installation, we did that too. The gasket looks like it was professionally installed and we have never done it before. Thanks!
