This is an authentic Craftsman replacement part that is sourced from the original manufacturer to be used with routers and circular saws. The special cap fits into the motor housing and is used to secure and provide access to the brushes without dismantling the motor. This is an OEM replacement part for Craftsman routers. This part links to the router to avoid wood chips from smacking the operator. Before you install this part, it is recommended that you disconnect the router. This chip shield is made of hard plastic and sold individually.
