25355333602 Kenmore Refrigerator - Instructions

I worked for GM as a Frigidaire Tech, before starting my own business. I have retired now.
I took the three screws off the back of the bracket holding the motor. Disconected wire harness and pulled out the motor. Reverse to install. servantoftheking@hughes.net

Took drawers out by removing 2 screws on top of rail near front, then popped black plastic cover off in lower right inside cabinet...sensor just un plugged and new one plugged in easily...did not fix problem though...display set at 34 but bottom drawer reads about 40 at best and upper drawer reads around 55...dont think the 3 little fans inside on back wall have been running

We had to unhook & remove icemaker several times, thaw it out & reinstall, it would work for a day or two then overflow. Bought the new ice marker, replace it and it works great....

I ordered a new shelf and I put in, less than minute

I ordered the parts by studying the diagram and they were perfect. Thanks for making it so easy.

2 steps; 1. I removed the broken door bin 2. I slid the new door bin in place, Am I a genius or what!

Remove shelves and rear panels to get to motor. Motor is held in place on shroud by simple strap. Remove fan blade, then un hook strap, remove and save rubber spacers on old motor to reuse to remount new motor. New motor Mew motor has wiring harness that is universal. Cut out the three wires that go to the new motor leaving long as possible, cut wires from old motor as long as possible, strip ends of all wires 1/2 inch, connect wires by color,slip into provided wire connectors and crimp. Pull on wires to insure connection. Tie wires together so they don't touch the coils. Plug in and check operation. If all is working unplug and replace all covers and shelves. Plug back in and it will take few hours to reach operating temperature. Video of side by side repair shows easy removal of panels and motor.

The repair was just as easy as ordering the part which arrived on day three after I ordered it! I had already cleaned up the broken glass insert, so all I had to do was unpack and lay the new shelf in. Took less than a minute!

It was simple. I loosened the two screws holding the ice maker unit. Then disconnected the wire harness. Plug in the new ice maker and tighten down the two screws. Held reset button for 15 sec. Done! took ten min. I had a full try of ice the next day!

I replaced the bulb using my hands to twist the bulb in the socket located at the top of the refrigerator.

Looked at video on how to remove and reinstall support and followed the instruct ions

Replaced the Triple Water Valve

Support studs have an expansion fitting - center post has to be pushed through to allow expansion joint to collapse for removal. After installation, this post can be pushed in or pulled out to secure the stud and be the proper length to hold the bins.

None of this was obvious - an online tip from another member was invaluable.

First I obtained the manual to the refrigerator. I identified the screws to be removed. I turned off the water then unplugged the water lines. I then replaced the Water Filter Base and reassemble the parts. Within minutes of turning on the water, water and ice making had returned. I was a hero for saving the family $200 in parts and labor.

I had to remove the face cover to gain access to the ribbon harness, also had to remove the push pads The ribbon is a delicate item so care had to be taken not to bend the ends. The ribbon can fit either side so getting it in place to make contact was kind of tricky. After the ribbon was in, it just a matter of putting things back together. Dispenser is fixed at a minimum cost, ribbon was shipped within 2 days which was great. Thanks to Part Select for easy to find on the net, had a complete diagram of the refrigerator ice/water dispenser so finding the parts needed was simple. Doug
