1st Turn off power. Removed freezer racks. Removed access panel to bottom back of freezer. Disconnect the wire harness to fan motor. Use 5/16 nut driver for removing fan motor from support. Removed fan blade from motor and put fan blade on the new fan motor. Bought new fan blades, but new fan blade would not work on new motor. Spring moun ... Read more t would fit on new fan blades, so I use the old one. Installed everything in reverse. Put everything back. Place thermometer in freezer. Freezer cooled down to -10F in 10 minutes. Great save on this one because I bought this freezer off of Facebook marketplace. Saved me $250. Good thing I know about fixing refrigeration equipment. Easy day.

Unscrew all the fasteners from the door inner cover from the bottom to top to hold it in position, got rid of the old gasket.

I Cleaned all and install the new gastket into the door inner cover. then reintalled cover to the starting from the top to bottom to hold it in place.

Notice ice build up on the panel in front of the evaporator coil. Unplugged freezer and removed evaporator panel. Plugged unit back in and checked fan, coil "snap switch" and heater element, all seemed to check out good. Found defrost timer stuck in the freeze position, causing frost to accumulate over the evaporator. Manually rotated ... Read more defrost timer to the 30min defrost cycle and system went into defrost. Ordered defrost timer and installed (part arrived in 3 days). Freezer works great again. Too bad I ended up throwing 400 dollars worth of meat away. the fix was very simple. Will definitely use PartSelect again. Thank you.

take 1/4 hex screws out clean out dust ,remove old fan blade replace with new install bolts .

When i found out there was no thread in brace where bolts were supposed to screw in, I panicked. I thought I would have to send part back or go to a machine shop to make a thread. I called a friend for help and he told me the bolts would make the thread if I just screwed them in. Sure enough, the bolts made the thread and then I just proc ... I first noticed my ice cream getting soft. Then 2 days later the alarm went. I emptied the freezer, opened the panels and saw no frost. I saw that 99% of issues were resolved with a defrost timer and thermostat so I ordered those. I have to say the parts came quickly and they went in very easy. It's still not cooling even though I can measure the temperature at the front of the evaporator coil is cold but by the end of the coil it's almost room temperature. I think a repairman is called for.

I unscrewed the screws that held the old fan on, disconnected the wiring harness and removed the old fan. I pulled the blades off the motor and put it on the new fan. One thing of note, the screw holes on the new fan weren't threaded. I assume this is by design, so I used the screws to thread the holes before installing it in the freezer ... Read more . Once I did this, the rest of the installation was easy, just screw it back in and connect the wiring harness.

Remove the cover panel inside the freezer, remove and replace the fan motor (pull fan blades off old motor and push on the new one) and replace the cover.

Pulled the freezer out and unscrewed the screws around door. Gasket slide right out. After placing the new gasket, I used a hair dryer and sealed the gasket tighter. Works like a charm!! Very pleased with this do-it-yourself fix.

Upluged power pulled freezer out from wall removed the two screws that holds the defrost timer unpluged defrost timer pluged new timer in mounted new timer back with the two screws pluged freezer back in and job was complete. Freezer working fine.

Unplugged freezer from electrical socket. Removed lower trays from freezer. Removed sound proof stripping from sides of back panel. Removed upper, lower and side screws from back, lower panel using No. 2 phillips screwdriver. Disconnected motor wires from quick disconnect power supply. Removed motor bracket from freezer back using nut dri ... Read more ver. Removed motor from bracket using same nut driver. Replaced motor and screws in bracket. reattached quick disconnect. Attached fan blade to motor making certain to push blade on shaft securely. Replaced bracket to freezer back. Replaced back cover. Replaced stripping. Plugged into power supply. Total time 15-20 minutes.

Removed old gasket by backing out screws around inner door panel. I did not remove the screws just loosened in order to remove old gasket. Starting from the top of the inner door panel I set the old gasket and squared off. Tightened top screws and worked the gasket in on the sides and tightened several of the screws on the sides then set ... Read more the bottom of gasket in the door. Inserting the gasket in the bottom was the hardest part of the job. The overall job took less time than expected.
