This is a door boot, also known as a door gasket or door bellows, for various models of washing machines. This door boot is used to seal the inner drum of the washing machine from the inside of the washing machine cabinet, and the outside of the appliance itself. If you are noticing soap or water leaks, or if the inner drum of your washer is significantly loose and/or showing signs of tearing, this boot will need to be replaced. To remove this boot, you will need a set of pliers to remove its clamp. This boot is sold as an individual OEM part, so any necessary clamps or parts to secure it are sold separately.

The upper felt seal for your dryer is attached to the top edge of the drum support area, and is held there by a high temperature adhesive. It creates a seal where the dryer door opens and closes, so that heat remains in the dryer while it tumbles. If your old upper felt seal is coming apart, you notice that hot air is leaking out the dryer door, or your clothes are taking too long to dry, you may need to replace the seal. It is a flexible rubber seal that is found around the opening of the washer door. It is responsible for creating a watertight seal between the door and tub during the wash cycle. It also absorbs vibrations and reduces noise while the washer is running. If the seal is torn, worn down or no longer able to remain securely attached to the washer frame it will need to be replaced promptly. A faulty seal will result in water and detergent leakage and potential injury as well as increased noise from the washer.
